Zeitrahmen des Projekts: 2023-2024

“Cantieri in Movimento – Industrial Heritage Soundscapes” ist eine Bildungserfahrung, eine Gelegenheit für persönliches Wachstum, den Erwerb nützlicher Fähigkeiten und die Unterstützung der Internationalisierung. Die künstlerische Arbeit wird das Ergebnis einer kollaborativen Praxis als Teil einer Gruppe zusammen mit zwei in Italien ansässigen Künstlern sein. Da es sich um ein Ausbildungsprojekt handelt, ist der Zeitplan obligatorisch. Die verwendete Sprache ist Englisch.

Zum zweiten Mal ist das Zentralwerk einer der Gastgeber des internationalen Projekts “Cantieri in Movimento – Industrial Heritage Soundscapes” im Rahmen des vom italienischen Kulturministerium finanzierten Boarding-Pass-Programms.

Projektleiter: Zō Centro Culture Contemporanee, Catania (Sizilien, Italien), ein multidisziplinäres Zentrum für darstellende Kunst. Das Zō Centro Culture Contemporanee hat mit der Aufwertung des materiellen und immateriellen Erbes im Zusammenhang mit der Industriearchäologie begonnen, ausgehend vom Gelände der ehemaligen Schwefelraffinerie. Um künstlerische Methoden und Praktiken in diesem Bereich auszutauschen hat Zō die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Zentralwerk gesucht.

Bevor Sie Ihre Bewerbung abschicken, vergewissern Sie sich bitte, dass Sie an allen geplanten Aktivitäten teilnehmen können. Die ausgewählten Künstler werden von einer Mentorin im Zentralwerk betreut.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES

• 14 APRIL announcement of the selected participants: creation of the artistic teams
• 24 APRIL – 10:30 am | ONLINE: online meeting with selected artists and mentors: explanation of the aims of the project, the detailed activities and the procedures. Attendance at the workshop is compulsory for the selected artists.
• APRIL–MAY 2023: Start of the presentation of the cultural centres involved (characteristics and activities)
• 15–16 JULY | PALERMO: Residency in Sicily: Visit to Cantieri della Lisa and presentation of the centre by Alfredo Giammanco, tour of the city.
• 17 JULY | CATANIA: Presentation of Zō cultural centre and report on the First Edition of Cantieri in Movimento. Presentation of archive materials. Presentation of Partners.
• 18–19 JULY | CATANIA: Two-day residency / Workshop curated by Ozmotic / Creation of working groups.
• END OF SEPTEMBER 2023 to FEBRUARY 2024: research and start of artistic creations.
• JANUARY 2024: feedback on creative proposals.
• MARCH 2024: online meeting with mentors to report on creations (date to be agreed)
• APRIL 30th – MAY 07th 2024: residency at Zentralwerk. Creation residency in teams, meeting with local cultural scene, showing at Zentralwerk.
• JULY 2024: final residency in Sicily, final tutoring with Ben Frost, final public presentation of the site-specific performances.

The selected artists will be guided by 10 mentors in the training and performance design process. If a selected artist does not participate in the activities, does not respect the guidelines and deadlines, he/she will be replaced even after the project has started.

The realised performances will becomepart of a broader valorisation process already initiated by Zō Centro Culture Contemporanee and its partners.
